Hello! We are Luke and Renee Allison, church planters in Edgerton WI with Converge Great Lakes.
We have five boys---Beau, Sean, Max, Alec, and Eli. It was our desire to raise our children in a local church and, while searching for a church in Lake Mills, we found Real Hope Community Church, a brand new church plant at the time. Over the next 11 years, we were blessed to see God impact our lives, our family and our community through this new church. We served as Student Ministry Directors and started both the youth group and Sunday morning children’s program while at Real Hope.
As we began to explore the potential to go into full-time ministry, we became familiar with the community of Edgerton through a sister church that had been praying about planting a church there. The more we learned about Edgerton, the more we fell in love with it and we felt that God was calling us to this community. We wanted to see Edgerton impacted by Jesus through a new church the same way we saw Real Hope impact Lake Mills.
In the Fall of 2015, we entered a thorough church planting assessment through Converge. In February 2016, we were given a full approval by Converge as church planters to Edgerton, WI. In August of 2016, we purchased a home, moved to Edgerton, and began to get connected in our new community. The more people we met, the more stories we heard about how God had already been at work in the lives of people in this community, paving the way for the work He would do in establishing this church. God went before us!
We look forward to see God continue that work in using EmmausCC to impact the lives of individuals, families, and the entire community for Christ. We have experienced the blessing a new church can be in a community and we can’t wait to see what God will do here.
God Bless!
